Did you know that conventional, disposable batteries can require up to 500 times more electricity to produce than they can release? By opting for rechargeable batteries, not only are you saving money in the long-run by reusing the same batteries, but you’re no longer throwing disposables away, which is a plus for Mother Earth.

Amazing worklight

I use headlamps almost on a daily basis. I use them for electrical work, automotive work, putting equipment away at night in trailers and sheds. I really like this headlamp. It's the heaviest headlamp that I've ever used but so far it has what I would describe as the most adaptive light strength settings I've seen in any headlamp. With other headlamps you can sometimes be blinded by too much light and then when you dim it down it doesn't put out enough light...this headlamp has a great balance of brightness and dispersion so that you are almost never blinded or wanting for more light. The weight hasn't bothered me as much as I thought it would, but I haven't used it enough to give a really accurate assessment. It has maintained its charge and brightness from the first charge. So far, I recommend it to anyone that works in a rough environment (this is a tough metal cased light) and anyone looking for a very adaptive light output. It uses a wheel to adjust the light stream which is also unlike any other headlamp I've used. I hope to update this review as I use this lamp for a longer period of time. 90% love the headlamp for working

This is a hell of a work light. No double about it. I've been through dozens of headlamps of different brands and qualities since I moved off-grid some years ago. I often have to either work on projects late into the night to get things done, check on animals at night, walk the property, or deal with something when it breaks at any time of day. This one rocks in ALL those tasks. Even just walking the dog is great. The light is comfortable on my head, hat or bare skull. I mean like actually comfortable for long term wear. The split headband in the back helps spread out of the stress point and makes it comfortable all around. Build quality of the light itself is hefty and feels like it is worth the 130$ price tag. EVEN with that quality it doesn't get uncomfortable to wear that weight on my head. Magnetic charging is easy to use and stays attached. This does mean it's a closed battery and I can't find any information about the expected life cycle of the batteries inside the lamp. It comes with a 5 year warranty, registering at their website adds an extra 2 years to the warranty, but still after looking around I couldn't find any information about what is covered if my battery capacity starts to fail in a couple years. Anyone with a smart phone knows what I'm talking about. Given this is a light meant for work that means you theoretically could be expecting to use this 5 times a week 50 weeks a year. That's a lot of cycles. The wall mount, and hat mounts are really choice additions. The hat mount fits well onto my arborist helmets I wear when working with timber up here. The wall mount I have set near the front door so it's easy to access and always charged. Now with all that said I do have a bit of issues with the light. First the app. It's neat, and it's touted as a reason to buy the light here on the product page. What you don't find out until you have the light, download the app, and connect your light is that 1/2 or more of the functions are locked behind a paywall. I mean you just paid 130$ for your headlamp and then you're asked to pay 9$ more to unlock functions in the app for the light that they sold you on here on the product page without mentioning it's a paywall thing. Now outside of this my issue is with the adaptive lighting. It's a neat function and nearly all the time it's great. I look out ahead it get a nice strong spot. I look down at what I'm working on close-by and it softens and spreads out. Great. Here is the issue though. I'm not sure if anyone checked how this works when it comes to wearing it in the cold but what happens is that your own breath in the cold will trigger the adaptive lighting over and over causing the light to swap back and froth between longer range spot and dimmer soft large focus. I'm not sure how this will have an effect on the life of the system constantly cycling like that, but I can say it's annoying while I'm standing and working in the cold. It's already dipping close to the 30's up here and I just expect this will get more noticeable as winter sets in soon. Just something to keep in mind when you're making your decision. With the bit of negatives I have about the light I'd still buy it again if I was making this choice right now. (Originally posted on Amazon)
